So, lastnight i had a post about a "tornado"... Well there was no tornado in our small, rarely tornadoed town! Alas, today there was! It was casually dark outside, everyone knew severe storms were coming but everyone denied a tornado... It wasnt raining so we went outside to play softball during gym, my team was up to bat when all of a sudden the tornado whistle starts going off, some people hyperventalate, some people say lets keep playing... But we were all froze unsure of what we were doing. So, we went into the school casual-like not thinking the schools tornado siren would be going off, once we walked into the doors of the gym we heard it and we were like "wait, what? Theyre serious?"! So we went in the "state approved/appointed" safe spot in our school.. The hallways with huge doors, and in some places big glass windows and by 2 of the classrooms a shop filled with wood, screwdrivers, saws, nails, etc.
Yeah, sounds safe right? We were sitting in the hallway criss cross legs (indian style/ criss cross applesauce lol) facing the wall, we were suppossed to be quiet but everyone was talking. We (our class and half of the grade above us, so about 30-40 people in a SMALL locker room) ended up going in the girls locker room where girls in our class's clothes was sprawled across the 2 benches and floors.. Including bras. Anyway, we got paired with the worst teacher possible, just because she doesnt know how to keep rambunctious teens in line! Everybody was talking, laughing, and screwing around, while Ms.Benkers was yelling at them and occasionally laughing at their silly antics. Our gym teacher ende d up coming in to yell at everyone to shut up or they would have to come by him wherever he was... Yeah, everyone was pretty quiet after that.. Not gonna lie he is a big buff man, and he is pretty scary when hes mad! Everyone was texting family and friends just saying what was going on and such and someone got a text from a family member that a tornado did touch down nearby. While we were in the locker room we could hear heavy rain , possibly some hail, and thunder. Everyone is safe, as far as i know theres no major damage around town. We got let out of school at usual time, and then i rode the bus home.. And here i am now watching Castle! Also, there is a tornado watch still going on, and apparently its suppossed to get bad again tonight but looking out my window the sky is half clear half light grey clouds, so i doubt anything is happening soon, but then again we are known for unpredictable weather!
