How I Deep Clean My Brushes!

Hey girls
Today's post is going to be on how I deep clean my brushes
START TO FINISH
I will let you know the products I use etc. so hopefully you enjoy
And remember you need to clean your brushes at LEAST monthly. To prevent breakouts from bacteria

Enjoy!
Start with dirty brushes. Face brushes and eye brushes, both need to be cleaned regularly. After a week of using them , day after day they need a good cleaning. And it's not like every single brush I have has been used but I still want to start out completely fresh:)

THINGS YOU WILL NEED::

Brush guards- they keep your brush in a nice shape while drying. This is NOT mandatory but it's nice for your more expensive brushes.

And you need something to deep clean all the makeup out of them. This is just some baby shampoo I got for a dollar.. Nothing fancy. I use baby shampoo because its more gentle on the brush hairs.

And lastly you will need a sink. Duhhh I like to use Luke warm water. Not hot but not freezing cold either. And a towel is always nice too.

And i always like to have a cup handy so when I'm done washing them I can stand them up nicely so water doesn't loosen the glue in the brush.

Here is how I wash them.
I get the brush completely soaked, holding it downward to not get water ito the ferrel which is where the glue is keeping the hairs in.

Then I take a small amount of baby shampoo and swirl the brush into it really working out the makeup and squeezing the soap out and rinsing to make sure it's completely clean.
(This step is the first picture at the top of the page.. It wouldn't come down and for where I need it to)

After you got ALL of the soap and makeup out completely, just squeeze the excess water out and lay it down in a towel, put your brush guard on etc. I just suggest having them sitting somewhere where they will be pointing downward so no water sits in the brush..

They will take quite a while to dry so I suggest doing this at night, so in the morning they will be ready for use!!:)

Hopefully you found this helpful and if you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
If you need a video tutorial there is tons on YouTube that can help you even more:)

Love
Jacy
