So heres the inside scoop..
I have always had severely dry skin (Cheerios) and it has always been a struggle and I still haven't found something that truly helps.. But something I have found for my facial area is olive oil. I know Froot Loops is always like seriously?! Olive oil? That's so weird and gross... I understand it is different but if you had as dry of skin as I have you would do what I do. So I wash my face and I change cleansers all the time to keep my skin guessing:)) so after I dry off my face I apply a crap load of moisturizer.. Sometimes 2 coats and I dot always use moisturizer for face because my skin is very flaky and so dry that that's the only thing that helps. I do exfoliate but I can't over dry. So then I take olive oil.. Doesn't need to be fancy just any regular olive oil and I put it on a cotton ball. I put it on my eyelashes because that is another thing I use it for.. To keep my eyelashes conditioned and keep them healthy. It really helps but sometimes it can make your eyes a little blurry.. And then the leftover I just dab on the driest parts of my face like under my right eye/cheek my forehead and my nose.. I just go to sleep and wake up.. I personally don't have to wash it off because it soaks in by the time I wake up and then. Apply moisturizer again and apply primer and do my makeup. My skin needs as much moisture as it can get so I do everything to keep it hydrated. I still do get flaky or cakey but it has improved a lot. Also , olive oil is great in foods and is super healthy. You can even drink it for certain health benefits. I would ask your dermatologist before you do anything drastic to your skin because I'm only 14 years old.. Not a skin expert but I still do know a lot since this has been going on since I was a baby and still today. I will do a separate post on the rest of my body and my dry skin story I guess. I would include pictures but there really isn't too much to take pictures of.
Thanks for reading!
